Going Green with Oils

The phrase “going green” has exploded into popular culture. But the question remains, what does “going green” truly mean? Essentially, going green means eliminating products and practices that pollute and deplete the environment, and choosing instead to use products and services that enhance life, and are natural, safe, renewable and non-toxic. For many consumers, the thought of going green is foreign and sometimes intimidating. But it doesn’t have to be. In fact, going green can be easy—we simply need to make better choices in what we buy and what we do.

How to Go Green

There are easy ways to “go green” and improve your quality of life and longevity.

  1. Educate yourself by reading labels. Does your toothpaste or shampoo have warning labels?
  2. Replace and eliminate cleaning and personal care products containing hazardous chemicals with products containing therapeutic-grade essential oils such as those available through Young Living.
  3. Diffuse therapeutic-grade essential oils on a regular basis. Lab data indicate that doing so reduces pollution, mold, viruses and bacteria in the air.
